CURD RICE

  Ingredients

  •   Rice - 1 cup
  •  Curd/ Yougurt - 1 cup
  •  Milk - 1/4 cup
  •  Oil - 2 tbsp
  •  Urad dal - 1tsp
  •  Green chillies - 2 chopped
  •  Ginger - 1/2 inch chopped
  •  Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
  •  Curry leaves
  •  Coriander leaves - for Garnishing
  •  Dry Red chilly - 2
  •  Salt to taste

 Method of preparation

  •  Cook the Rice and keep aside for an hour.
  •  Add milk into the Rice and keep aside.
  •  Heat oil in a pan ,add Mustard seeds & urad dal into it.
  •  when seeds starts poping, add chopped ginger, green chillies,curry leaves, dry red chilly & coriander leaves into it.
  •  Saute them for a min.
  •  Stop the flame & add the mix to the rice .
  •  Add Salt and  Curd in the rice and mix well.
  •  Curd rice is Ready to Serve.

  Notes:

  •   Adding Milk is Optional but, to take curd rice for a long journey adding Milk helps to keep the rice good for more hours.
