Ingredients
- Rice - 1 cup
- Curd/ Yougurt - 1 cup
- Milk - 1/4 cup
- Oil - 2 tbsp
- Urad dal - 1tsp
- Green chillies - 2 chopped
- Ginger - 1/2 inch chopped
- Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
- Curry leaves
- Coriander leaves - for Garnishing
- Dry Red chilly - 2
- Salt to taste
Method of preparation
- Cook the Rice and keep aside for an hour.
- Add milk into the Rice and keep aside.
- Heat oil in a pan ,add Mustard seeds & urad dal into it.
- when seeds starts poping, add chopped ginger, green chillies,curry leaves, dry red chilly & coriander leaves into it.
- Saute them for a min.
- Stop the flame & add the mix to the rice .
- Add Salt and Curd in the rice and mix well.
- Curd rice is Ready to Serve.
Notes:
- Adding Milk is Optional but, to take curd rice for a long journey adding Milk helps to keep the rice good for more hours.
