Dal Curry

Ingredients

  • Toor Dal - 1 cup
  • Onion - 1 chopped
  • Green chilly - 4 spilt into half
  • Tomato - 1 sliced
  • Turmeric powder - 1 /2 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander leaves - 1/4 cup
  • Oil - 1 tsp
  • Mustard seeds - 1tsp
  • Dry red chilly - 2 nos
  • Curry leaves

Method of preparation

  • Wash dal and add chopped onion,green chilly ,tomato,turmeric,salt to taste,enough water in it and cook till it it done or pressure cook till 3 -4 whistles.
  • Add coriander leaves mix well and stop the flame.
  • Heat oil in a pan ,splutter mustard seeds,dry red chilly,curry leaves saute for few sec and add the seasoning in the curry and close the lid.
  • Serve it with plane rice/chapathi.
