King fish curry /Ney meen curry

Ingredients

  • Ney meen - 1kg sliced into medium size
  • Kudam puli -3 pieces
  • Oil - 1 tbsp
  • Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
  • Green chilly - 3 slit into half
  • Garlic - 5 flakes sliced
  • Ginger - 1 inch thinly chopped
  • Curry leaves

For Marination

  • Kashmiri chilly - 1 tbsp
  • Red chilly powder - 1tsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander powder - 1 tbsp
  • Fenugreek powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt to taste

Method of preparation

  • Take all ingredients for marination,add a little water & make a fine paste and marinate over the fish and keep for 30 min.
  • Heat oil in a pan,splutter mustard seeds,add ginger,garlic,green chilly,curry leaves,sliced shallots and saute till it become golden brown.
  • Now add marinated fish in it and saute for 2 min on medium low flame.
  • Add enough water,kudampuli,salt to taste and cook till it done.when the fish becomes soft and the gravy is thick stop the flame.
  • Ney meen curry is ready to serve.
