urad dal Vada/Uzhunnu vada
Ingredients

Urad dal - 1 cup
-
Rice flour -2tbsp
-
Green chilly - 4 thinly chopped
-
Ginger - 1 inch thinly sliced

Onion - 1 chopped
-
Salt to taste

Oil - as required for frying
Method of preparation

Wash and soak urad dal for 2 -3 hours.

Drain the water & grind the urad dal witout water.

Add rice flour and all chopped ingredients in it & mix well.

Heat oil in a pan,dip your fingers in water and take batter of the size of a small ball &patt with your palm to make a circle.

Dip index finger in water and make a hole at the center of the pattered batter and carefully drop it into the hot oil.

Deep fry it on medium high flame till it become golden.

Serve the vada with coconut chutney/sambar.
